Programmer Analyst - LIMS
* Participate in all aspects of Laboratory Information Management Systems to include programming, system analysis and troubleshooting * Act as IT liaison and partner for the Clinical Laboratory, including: administrative, desktop, and general IT maintenance * Configure StarLIMS and Copia for the Clinical Laboratories * Perform programming in the StarLIMS integrated development environment * * Contribute to documentation for required documents
* Perform ad hoc programming tasks
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or life sciences field with relevant programming experience * 3-5 years of LIMS and LIS experience, including support and development
OR
* 3-5 years of software and database development experience in a biotech setting for process control systems with systems support experience * 2+ years database development experience: SQL Server 2005 or above * Solid understanding of laboratory processes, including the ordering, processing, testing, resulting and reporting procedures is required
* Development experience with one of the following technologies: Pascal, .NET platform (C#, VB.NET), Java, VBA, Perl, R, or other scripting languages * Experience with Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services is highly desired * Experience implementing and supporting HL7 interfaces with working knowledge of a HL7 interface engine is preferred
