GRAPHIC DESIGNER at NeuroSky, San Jose (Contract to perm):

The Graphic Designer is responsible for design, production and execution of projects - from initial concept through final art - working collaboratively with internal clients and with other members of the marketing team.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Participate in the design of creative projects from development of initial comps through final delivery.
•Design/Produce final art, assuring it meet the specifications and requirements of the project and corporate brand guidelines.
•Manage projects for brand consistency.
•Collaboratively develop Design Briefs to define all functional and aesthetic requirements of assignments.
• File management and archiving.

Technical Qualifications:
• BFA in graphic design or equivalent.
•2-4 years of design experience, with exposure to the development of print and digital marketing materials, website design, brand identity and point of sale deliverables, etc.
• Strong production skills. Expert knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, and PowerPoint.
•Knowledge of typography, photography, illustration, color and design.
•Knowledge of digital prepress processes as well as printing processes.
• Ability to generate multiple and distinct design concepts and to self-edit your own work.
• Excellent hand and comping skills.

General Qualifications:
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of a corporate business strategies and challenges and how they translate into compelling visual solutions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented.
•Strong presentation, spoken and written command of the English language.
•Strong interpersonal skills (open, friendly and supportive attitude).
• Self-motivated and capable of working with many personalities.
• Ability to present your work and the work of others in a well-articulated, professional manner.
