Position: Senior Project Manager, IT-3 - PeopleSoft/HR (Six Sigma & PMP
Certification)
Pay Rate: DOE
Contract term: 3+ months (Possible right to hire by the client)
Location: San Francisco, CA

Purpose of the position:
The Sr. HR Project/Program Manager will provide project and program management
to the HR function. The incumbent will provide leadership, project and program
management, lead governance effort, annual Technology Financial Planning effort
and process management. Many projects or programs will be technology and/
process based. This role will lead 2 Business Analysts, 1 to 2 full time Project
Manager, often augments staff with contractors as needed, partners with HR
Technology and Service Optimization teams to drive process improvements in each
region and also supports large scale HR projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages HR Projects and Programs (50% of time).
1. Technology projects (e.g. UAT processes, Technology enhancements for APR,
RFI/RFP)
2. Leads key annual projects for HR Technology and the HR Function.
3. Leads ongoing HR Functions and ensures that the project is optimized year
over year (e.g. APR, Retail Seasonal Hiring, etc.)
4. Leverage Governance process, Six Sigma, PMP skills to effective manage
projects
5. Ensure that we establish key standards processes (e.g. UAT process,
Technology Requirements)
6. Manage a full time Project Manager, 2 Business Analyst and Contractors as
needed
Manage and continuously enhance Governance and Process Improvements (30% of
time)
1. Manage HR Governance, Ideas and AFP process using Clarity
2. Ensure that all key HR Processes are documented and are continuously
enhanced.
3. Manage a full time Business Analyst to support governance, process
improvements and Share Point.
Effectively manage and coordinate Change Management and Communication efforts as
needed (20% of time).
1. An example is managing a large scale project such as People Tools to ensure
that UAT and technology enhancements are documented, key SMEs are identified,
Change management plan is developed/implemented and communication plan is put in
place.
2. Ensures that HR Technology, Service Optimization and Operation has an
effective ongoing Communication plan/ effort.
3. Manages Contractors as needed
Education:
• Prefers BS, Computer Science or Business Management or equivalent years of
experience in the field/area.
Years of Experience:
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience with HR Technology, Project/Program
Management.
• Six Sigma certification and PMP (required).
• At least 5+ years of functional experience in Peoplesoft HR v8.9/9.0 or higher
environment.
• Experience with core HR modules.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal, project planning/ management and
issue resolution skills.
• Must have Change Management and Communication experience.
Must have:
• Strong knowledge of HR function
• Strong knowledge of process management
• Nice to have technical understanding of Peoplesoft, Taleo, and Talent Link
• Would be nice to have global support experience
