We seek a Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances to lead the company's efforts in developing strategies and tactics for expanding Symmetricom eco-system partnerships with key technology manufacturers across 3 key market segments : communications, power, enterprise.
This is a critical role in the Business Development organization that reports to the Head of World-Wide Strategic Alliances.
Primary Responsibilities for this innovative role include:
* Identifying and executing strategic partnerships for systems and embedded technologies in all 3 key segments : Communications/Telecom, Power/Utilities, Enterprise
* Formulating and executing strategies leveraging Technology Partners leading to new sales opportunities for Symmetricom products and services
* Serving as the company's primary source of knowledge and analysis for information related to technology trends, competition, market sizing, etc.
* Providing guidance, leadership, and vision to Symmetricom executive, product management, and engineering development teams with regard to the market & business opportunities, customer and industry trends
* Defining and prioritizing eco-system target companies determining the relationship structure as referral, resell or OEM contracts
* Implementing partnership strategies in tight collaboration with Market segment managers and Sales
* Working closely with Global Sales, drive growth in both system and embedded technologies adoption by Tier 1 strategic accounts and partners
Credentials & Qualifications:
* Technology related undergraduate or advanced degree (EE/Computer science) or equivalent; MBA preferred
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in Telecom/Datacom industries
* Proven track record in business development or strategic account management developing partnerships and OEM agreements with vendors such as Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Nokia Siemens, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, VMWare, ABB, Siemens, GE as well as silicon vendors such as Freescale, Broadcom, Altera, Xilinx, Cavium, etc
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of the various telecom and datacom technologies required for service providers to deliver voice, video, and data solutions
* Knowledge and understanding of NGN timing and frequency standards (NTP, PTP, DTI, UTI, etc.), and their application.
* Critical feedback skills that articulat market trends and requirements in order to improve product features and roadmaps
* Analytical and strategic thinker with ability to execute
* Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to gain credibility with technical, marketing as well as Executive level contacts within NEMs and operators
* Experience negotiating & implementing relationships
* Extensive network of contacts within network equipment manufacturers and silicon vendors
* Ability to adapt to various cultures; extensive travel required; foreign language skills helpful.
