Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a part-time creative, energetic and driven Public Relations professional who can develop communications programs to highlight the vision and strategic direction, for our client, as well as the solutions they create for their enterprise customers. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Communications, this role with work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders around the world to build and tell compelling stories that raise the profile of our client with their target audiences.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for developing and executing communication campaigns to showcase the company and the enterprise solutions that they offer
* Manage outside agency resources in the execution of those communication programs
* Develop and maintain strong, positive, strategic relationships with key business and technology press and other influencers to drive awareness of the company and its corporate/enterprise initiatives
* Provide PR counsel to senior management on an ongoing basis
* Respond quickly to inbound media requests, as well as internal requests for data and information
* Work with PR and Marketing counterparts to plan product launch programs
* Work with regional counterparts to coordinate global launch schedules and messaging
* Manage the execution and outcome of multiple projects simultaneously
* Measure the success of each program and report that to the key stakeholders, tweaking programs as necessary in real time to ensure metric targets are achieved
Skills:
* 8-10 years of IT related services/product experience in corporate and enterprise-specific media relations
* PR agency experience required. In-house experience a plus
* Established relationships with key business press and senior IT trade
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources
* Proactive, energetic, efficient, resourceful team player with a dedication to excellence
* Solid grasp of business fundamentals that impact the IT industry
* High levels of tact and diplomacy. Excellent organization and program management skills
* Ability to interact with all levels in the company
* Ability to link executive communications plans and activities to business results
* Well-developed analytic skills (measurement, ROI)
* Ability to tell a compelling story that is relevant to a variety of audiences including external, internal, analysts, and executives
* Proven ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
* Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or similar
Rate: D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: On-site 50% at the clients' offices in Santa Cruz, CA and 50% Remote. NO PHONE CALLS.
Hours/Duration: Part-time 30 hours per week, from September 9, 2013 to March 28, 2014
