Vice President/Director, Corporate Marketing
My client is one of the fastest growing Silicon Valley technology companies and is the leading Force.com application partner. In seven years they have become highly profitable, acquired hundreds of blue chip customers and are growing over 100% a year.
Job Description:
The Vice President/Director of Corporate Marketing will be responsible for the development of my client's corporate positioning and market awareness initiatives. Included in this is the creation and delivery of strategic press, analyst and buzz building programs that support the vision, mission and goals of the company in order to build broader brand awareness. The position requires forward thinking, results focus and should fulfill a strategic role in driving and directing efforts to successfully position them within the Force.com network.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a global integrated strategic communications plan to advance brand identity; broaden awareness and buzz of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences.
• Create a public relations strategy that will allow them to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media and key influencers.
• Develop the AR strategy and drive execution of the plan which results in increased industry exposure and endorsements. Partner with product and marketing leaders to develop the content and messaging, facilitating proactive and reactive reviews and responding to analyst reports.
• Increase corporate awareness through multiple channels and tactics including the company's speaker program and industry awards.
• Develop and execute a Social strategy partnering across the business to establish a leadership position across all vehicles and amongst the different targeted personas. Turn social into an advocacy and lead generation platform for the business.
• Lead the creation and evolution of all company materials and presentations leveraged by corporate, sales, marketing and partner marketing functions. This includes managing all of the company's creative services.
• Partner with other functions in the company to manage internal communications and ensure key messages are communicated to employees. Assist the executive team in preparing for the company's "All Hands" meetings and coordinate internal communications
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or a technical field; an MBA degree is a plus
• Minimum 5 years' experience in marketing business-to-business software solutions; SaaS marketing experience strongly preferred, including at least 4 years' experience managing a team
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a corporate marketing leadership position
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in planning, writing, editing, and production of newsletters, press releases, annual reports, marketing literature, and other print publications and directories
• Experience with and managing digital elements of campaigns and initiatives – including social media, email management, and online advocacy and organizing tools
• Expertise in marketing to large, global enterprises, across many verticals
• Master at executing innovative and results-focused campaigns that drive buzz and awareness
• Ability to flourish in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong leadership and creative thinking capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority and lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
