We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join the August team and play a critical role for product development and planning. The Supply Chain Analyst will run the day to day execution of purchasing, planning, coordination with CMs. The ideal candidate will be involved with partners and supplier relationships from early product conception until a product's end-of-life and with the product management transitions ( i.e. BOM management and coordinating component changes internally and externally). 

The Supply Chain Analyst will assure supplier compliance to purchase orders and managing continuous cost reduction to meet financial requirements. The ideal candidate should have solid working knowledge of essential commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead-times and technical manufacturing processes. The Supply Chain Analyst should be results oriented with a passion for consumer devices and on how to get things done quickly in a fast moving startup.

Responsibilities

- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Communicate changes to bill of material via ECO, ECRs with CMs
- Assist in defining performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality
- Manage activities related to purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory and logistics
- Plan and execute procurement of finished goods and raw materials from global suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Assure supply chain sources are capable of meeting and exceeding quality expectations, while insuring adequate capacity, on-time delivery, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Requirements

- B.S. degree with 3 years to 5 years of experience in Consumer Electronics products environment and dealing with outsourced manufacturing with Asian suppliers
- Experience in all functions of Supply Chain Management - new product planning, forecasting, purchasing, planning, budgets, optimization, and logistics
- Attention to accuracy and details; must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to recognize and reconcile conflicts
- Strong Analytical abilities - able to conduct structured strategic analysis and problem solving
- Advanced Excel skills

- APICS certification
- Skilled at designing spreadsheets
- Core experience must include contract negotiation, price negotiation and supply chain analysis
