Position Summary
Client is looking for a Lead Software Engineer with experience in developing
and supporting a SaaS centric software product. Works closely with
customers, product owners and team members to understand business
requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical
solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies
and comply with the organization's architectural standards. Involved in the
full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing,
implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is
delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the
development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may
also include participation in component and data architecture design,
performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build
recommendations.
Duties
● Analyze business requirements, identify risks and make recommendations
that impact the direction and pace of the product
● Design, implement and test high quality software solutions to customer
system's needs
● Understands complete systems and their details, decomposing complex
systems into simple buildable parts
● Understands how to successfully lead and mentor team members
● Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build consensus
● Communicates an accurate project status to management, including risk
retirement
● Experienced with utilization of Offshore resources on projects
● Breaks through barriers to success.
● Creates tools to support the engineering process
● Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and
systems
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
● Solid experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
● 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following languages: C#,
Python, JavaScript and C/C++
● Experience in web application development
● Experience with one or more of the following the .NET libraries, Java and
open source libraries or modules
● Ability to diagnose and debug issues within development environments and
customer solutions
● Experience with Jenkins, Git.
● Good understanding and working knowledge of SQL Server database
● Understanding of web protocols including HTTP, SOAP, etc.
● Experience with SaaS and PaaS (e.g. AWS, Google cloud, etc.) is desirable.
● Experience working in an Agile environment
