Writer – Internal Communications (Santa Cruz, CA)
We are looking for an experienced writer to support internal communication programs for a high tech company in Santa Cruz, CA. The role involves writing content for the internal website and executive communications. The ideal candidate enjoys crafting stories and has experience writing for the C-suite. The role also includes some project management of internal communications content that will be developed by others.
This is a 40 hour per week role, with 50% onsite work at the client's offices in Santa Cruz, CA, for 9 months (extensions likely). This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee, health benefits offered.
Responsibilities
• Content creation in support of executive internal communications and speaking.
• Assess the needs of different corporate audiences, source information, and work with subject matter experts across the business to develop clear copy for a variety of deliverables on deadline
• Project management of the development, writing and management of news content for the corporate internal website
• Write technical information in a clear and easy to understand manner within the context of telling stories
Requirements
• Strong, proven writing skills
• 2+ years of experience in a communications role at an agency, business or media outlet/news reporting.
o Background working as a journalist or other editorial position highly desirable
o Experience writing for technology firms, clients or publications highly desirable
• BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing-related field or Liberal Arts (e.g. English).
• Experience using social media platforms and tools, preferred.
• Experience with Jive and SharePoint, preferred.
