Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Event Marketing Manager with solid, recent experience in executing marketing, promotional, and event experiences associated with a large conference. This role will partner with our clients to help implement the overall program objectives, revenue budget models, pricing and promotional strategies, and communication strategies and programs. The Manager will implement and deliver against their recommended strategies and tactics.
The ideal candidate is a strong marketing communications professional, both strategic thinking and tactical within the events space, accustomed to working in a fast paced, results-oriented, customer-centric environment. Must be resourceful, enthusiastic, high energy and creative with a demonstrated ability to drive measurable results.
Responsibilities:
Work with key program stakeholders and functional teams to manage expectations to timeline and budgets
Ensure the event and conference programs map to the overall conference business objectives
Leverage key integrated marketing communications planning to support overall program
Ensure all communications across targeted audiences are cohesive and in line with vent theme and message
Identify new marketing opportunities in support of business needs
Support speaker lead in presentation management and brand compliance
Work directly with client, program lead and provide continual communication of logistics management
Prepare ongoing and post show budget reports for services managed by Crawford Group
Create staffing plans as needed for event
Request, gather, and track all necessary vendor estimates in order to manage budget and organize payment process
Track, approve, and route all invoices
Ensure all supplier invoices are submitted to client within 30 days of the event
Update tactical plan, and timeline of program on an ongoing basis during the planning process
Attend necessary planning meetings, and provide status updates
Provide on-site support to assigned event areas
Work closely with Intuit team lead on post show tracking for completion of program as necessary
Analyze event programs for effectiveness based on the set measurements of success
Develop program success metrics and provide tracking mechanisms, analysis and course corrections throughout programs
Document and present post-event metrics and recommendations
Skills:
6-8 years' experience managing integrated marketing/communications programs, delivering against predefined event marketing program strategies. Must include recent experience working for at least one technology company. Agency experience a strong plus
Must have large conference/event experience (exceeding 1500 attendees). Developer conference experience a plus.
Strong communications skills: verbal/public speaking, written, presentations
Need to have a can do attitude, work well under stress and works well with others
Strategic, creative and business minded while ensuring strong delivery/execution results
Strong project management capabilities. Must have the ability to juggle multiple, concurrent demanding initiatives and projects
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group (benefits available)
LOCATION: Onsite at clients' office in Mountain View, CA with some flexibility to work offsite. Must have the flexibility to be onsite at the conference held locally the first week in November. (S.F. Bay Area local residents only.) No phone calls, please.
HOURS/DURATION: FT project based assignment, ASAP – 16 weeks duration
