Application Integration / Implementation Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX
Our client delivers market leading Service Management solutions that automate business processes and provide first-class customer service.
The role of the Application Specialist primarily involves the configuration and deployment of our clients' software solutions. Needs analysis will be required along with good communication and documentation skills. This customer-facing, technical role requires knowledge of, and skills in, data manipulation using various forms of SQL. Experience in scripting languages, especially PHP, JS and HTML is required.
• Ability to translate technical terms into understandable terms for non-technical users
• Work independently and manage job with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate a Customer First attitude
• Ability to work closely with customers to define solutions based on their business processes and requirements
• Have the ability to install our clients' software into live environments where the interface with the environment is of standard complexity.
• Be able to perform basic system administration tasks, both on our Server and within our software Client.
• Knowledge of SQL will be required to create wizard-based reports
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Superior knowledge of internal Configuration Management tools
• Understand business requirements and deliver technical solutions to meet these requirements
• Exhibit solid understanding of database administration including backup and restore options as well as security. These skills should predominantly be within MS SQL although knowledge of MySQL would be advantageous.
• 3 years experience with the following: PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and XML
• Ideal candidates will have experience integrating software into various ERP packages: Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, SAP, etc. Integrations typically happen via API which is available within our clients' software. In some cases, integration is a data import which is also handled by our clients' data import tool.
• BS in Computer Science is preferred
• ITIL certified is very desirable (V3 would be really nice)
The ideal candidate should have a minimum 2-3 years supporting some form of enterprise class software application.
