Analyzing business intelligence (BI) and reporting requirements, producing a range of reports, and developing value-add BI solutions. Determining functional report and data warehouse requirements; and writing functional specifications and designs based on those requirements. Other various Cognos related activities as assigned. Required Skills: ·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering disciplines. Solid understanding on Data warehouse concepts with complete DW lifecycle and data modeling experience. 5+ years of experience using Cognos suite of products (Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, and Metric Studio) required. Must have at least 3 years of solid experience with the Cognos v8 suite. Excellent working  knowledge with Oracle databases (10g required) Document applications/systems in order to define the technical processes that have been used to solve the client needs/business processes of an application or system. Cognos professional certifications are preferred, but not mandatory. Hands on working experience in the healthcare Industry is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction.
