YesVideo is the world´s largest consumer media conversion company, and our growth over the past 14 years has been primarily through our partnerships with 34,000 retail outlets including some of the biggest names in the business. We are now rapidly growing our direct online consumer channel, and we have some exciting new photo and video online services in the pipeline.
YesVideo manages 10-15 websites and are currently in the process of overhauling our eCommerce and online sharing sites. We are looking for a front-end web developer to produce and maintain websites and web applications to help create the next generation of online experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Front End Developer, your main responsibilities will be to produce, modify and maintain of YesVideo's websites and web applications' user interfaces.
• You will work closely with designers, using semantic mark-up language (HTML/CSS), to turn their static designs into working browse-based web pages.
• You will work with product marketers to ensure interface requirements are met.
• You will work with back-end web developers to make sure appropriate and consistent styles are applied to their coding.
Qualifications:
• Minimum three years of professional front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) with consumer websites
• Strong command of current web standards, CSS-based layouts, and DOM scripting, with the ability to create clean code
• A deep understanding of cross-browser issues with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs quickly
• Solid working knowledge of WordPress, website speed/performance, responsive web design, mobile compatibility, web font embedding, email design, UX/usability, SEO basics, website analytics
• Innovative thinker with a passion for problem-solving
• Keen eye for design with a solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS for producing and optimizing graphics for the web
• Self-starter with motivation to maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards, emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative environment
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
