Responsible for the functional design and architecture of application systems across all technologies and platforms. Responsible for all aspects of developing/maintaining the logical/physical data model for various platforms including Web services. The Data Modeler works closely with business partners, BA's, and Developers. The resource would also be responsible to facilitate JAD sessions to determine data rules, and holds reviews with Data SMEs. Applies Capital One Data Naming Standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository, and documents data model translation decisions. Includes use of data profiling tools and techniques, and development of review and QA data requirements.
