The San Francisco branch of this East Coast agency is experiencing a strong resurgence of new accounts, new staff, new leadership and new energy. I have worked with this agency many years ago and have only recently been retained to help them add to their existing staff. Right now they have an amazing opportunity for a new Account Director/Manager. If you have a minimum of 7 years you would qualify as a Director, 5 years, a Manager. The benefits this agency offers are spectacular, not least of which is the fact it is now an employee owned agency!
If you have at least 5 or 7 years relevant PR experience (B2B technology) in an agency setting, read on! Client services, Team Management, New Business Development and Agency Initiatives are key factors. You will be responsible for client retention, interface with clients and set the tone for the staff in all areas such as responsibility, client services, program expectations, day to day account activities, media relations and delivering strategic guidance and counsel to clients. This is much much more than simply tactical skills being called for.
The new hire will work closely with a team to ensure ongoing tactics map to account strategy and gols; lead in person meetings and conference calls, drive strategic discussions around messaging, trends and positioning.
Please have relevant PR experience for the number of years required. Strong recent or current agency experience and in house experience in a tech setting will be considered. Strong writing, supervisory experience, client management background, a success record of new business development will all be huge assets in your favor.
