Human Resource Business Partner position w/California law, Retail, HRIS - Los Angeles

 

The HR Business Partner acts as a HR Consultant for all management functions. Supports all western region employees in HR related questions. Major key result areas are employee relations, implementation of corporate HR models, processes and tools as well as guidelines, ensuring induction and continuous training & people development.

 

• Providing human resources consultation and support to the Western US and Canada.

• Utilizing knowledge of various human resources functions, including: Employee Relations, Training, Compensation, Benefits and Recruitment to provide strategic and tactical HR support to all management functions.

• Consulting with business unit management in the strategic planning process and development of human resources strategies that support the unit's business needs.

• Administers and executes human resource policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing and implementing.

• Supporting employees in all HR related questions.

• Acting as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A bachelor's degree in business, HR or a related field is required Masters in HR Management preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years experience providing HR support and consultation for a multi-state region. 

• At least 3 years experience in Generalist role (Employee Relations, Compensation/Benefits, Administration & Payroll, Labor Law, People Development, Training & Recruiting)

• Knowledge of California State Employment Laws

• Experience in conducting presentations and training

• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment

• Ability to introduce HR concepts with regard to practical working processes

• Solid working knowledge of MS Office as well as HRIS

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational skills

• Being capable to think and work analytically as well as to focus on results

• Ability to travel up to 50% - Field HR experience desired
