The Sage Group is looking for a Supply Demand Planner to work for a large multinational company that is a leading innovator and designer of consumer electronics and software products in Cupertino, CA. This person will own the supply, planning and overall performance of one of their key products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for forecasting demand (from different channels), inventory data, develop weekly supply plans that meet consumer demand.
- Develop and apply forecast models using SAP (SAP APO strong plus).
- Track and improve forecast metrics through process development.
- Manage all aspects of demand planning and collaboration.
- Analyze opportunities to optimize supply chain through collaboration and improve supply chain visibility, continuously increasing .Work closely with China factories to make sure sufficient capacity and materials.
- Collaborate with Information Systems team to implement system solutions.
- Work closely with WW planning team to ensure supply plans meet requirements.
- Analyze impact of seasonality and other business events on demand pattern and apply appropriate adjustments.
- Present forecast performance, issues, and possible solutions in monthly forecast review meetings.
Skills Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, and/or forecasting in the software industry
- Excellent knowledge of business deciplines demand planning, supply chain management
- Experience in Hi-tech Service Supply chain is a strong plus
- Analytical mind-set with the ability to both think strategically and execute tactically with a persistent attention to details
- Ability to work autonomously with a passion for solving complex business problems
- Planning/ERP Experience (SAP APO strong plus)
- Experience working with third party vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of SAP and SAS (or other statistical software)
Skills Preferred:
- Strong Excel skills
- BS; MBA preferered
