Job Announcement: Loan Servicing Associate

Position Summary:
RSF Social Finance seeks to hire a full-time Loan Servicing Associate to perform Loan Servicing duties for RSF's Social Enterprise Lending Program. Primary duties include: loan closing, funding, and servicing. Other key duties include recording loan disbursements, tracking payments, recordkeeping, and providing a consistently high level of client service with exceptional attention to detail.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Loan Closing and Boarding:
• Coordinate with borrowers and members of RSF's Lending and Accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of loan closing and funding tasks
• Set up commitment records in Nortridge Loan Software
• Record loan disbursements in Nortridge Loan System
• Prepare servicing forms for loan closings
• Keep electronic records up to date in multiple systems, including contact information and loan terms
• Send internal announcements to RSF staff regarding new loan closings
• Attend weekly Loan Operations/Biz Dev meeting
• Cross-training and other tasks as needed
Loan Funding and Servicing:
• Process loan disbursements
• Prepare and track invoices and payment requests
• Process loan payments
• Monitor and respond to borrower requests via phone and email; escalate as needed for problem resolution
• Work with borrowers to complete audit confirmations
• Track and follow up on insurance renewals
• Assist with producing loan statements twice monthly
• Assist with loan reconciliation
• Prepare monthly interest upload
• Answer client questions as needed
• Cross-training and other tasks as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years' relevant work experience in the following areas:
a. Loan servicing / processing for a commercial lending institution (preferred)
b. Accounting in an accounts receivable or billing environment
• Experience with other aspects of Loan Operations (underwriting, documentation, or compliance) a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate RSF's needs concisely and with the precision appropriate to critical financial and legal documents. The ability to converse by telephone regarding technical legal and financial matters
• Fluency in oral and written English required
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills required, with sensitivity and appreciation for diverse viewpoints and various communication styles
• Must have a solid grasp of math and accounting concepts in order to perform loan reconciliation, generate loan statements, and review documents for accuracy
• Must have basic understanding of financial statements
• Familiarity with lending concepts and terms preferred
• Familiarity with PC systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Experience with Nortridge Loan Software or similar commercial loan servicing software preferred
• Excellent data entry and clerical skills with high commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and systems thinking skills
• Excellent time management skills, including the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
• Salesforce experience a plus
• Familiarity with reporting from databases (SQL, Crystal Reports, etc) a plus
• Very good judgment required for making quick decisions requiring acute attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative and independently solve problems, and to effectively escalate non-routine problems as appropriate
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff members and external partners
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
