SOFTWARE R&D ENGINEER
SOFTWARE R&D ENGINEER, STAFF: The candidate will design and implement commercial-quality software in a dynamic, multi-discipline, team-oriented development environment. Architect/Design and implement commercial-quality software in a dynamic, multi-discipline, team-oriented development environment. Software application will be used for instrument control and data analysis. Incumbent will participate in object-oriented software development projects using C#, VC++, COM, ActiveX and .Net. The problem domain includes instrument control, GUI development, component-based design, and data visualization. Communicate effectively, as well as to present information to a group in a professional manner. Work cooperatively as part of a team w/ people of various education & technical backgrounds. Desired Degree BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited undergraduate program Desired Major Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Required Technical Skills: 1. Strong C++&C# programming skills, w/min of 10 yrs of accumulated expr (4 yrs of .Net & C#, 4 yrs of C++ & multi-threaded programming). 2. Experience using object-oriented software design methods and programming techniques. 3. Experience in multi-threaded programming. 4. System level design user interface design experience. 5. Good troubleshooting skills Technical Background Pluses: 1. Experience with COM, ATL, ActiveX, and .Net. 2. Experience creating application for Diagnostics instrument. 3. Experience with database technologies such as ADO, XML, SQL, Oracle, MS Access.
