Composite is a fast growing startup and is looking for a talented "star" Staff Server Engineer to join the server engineering team.
Composite is looking for a senior engineer with considerable experience in the area of SQL Data Access using JDBC, ODBC, and native client access for both relational as well as non-relational application packages. The successful engineer will have expertise in developing metadata layer around disparate data sources and implementing a query runtime engine for data access including plugin management. The core responsibilities will include architecting, designing, implementing and maintaining the subsystem that abstracts data and metadata access across different relational database flavors, application packages like SAP R/3, SAP BW, Salesforce, Siebel Analytics etc.
The server is implemented by a multi-million line source base in Java, so the ability to understand and integrate with existing code is an absolute must. The core runtime is a complex multi-threaded system and the successful candidate will demonstrate complete expertise in handling features geared towards concurrent transactions in a low latency, high throughput and scalable server environment. The candidate must be willing to work in a collaborative environment and follow the Composite development process guidelines in building the most robust, scalable and high performing Composite Integration Server.
Required Skills
· 10+ years programming experience
· 5+ years of Java based server side experience
· 3+ years of multithreading experience
· Strong object oriented background and competence with design patterns
· Familiarity with SAP BW including cube and data mart access is a plus
· Familiarity with OLAP based BI application packages is a plus
· Experience with all lifecycle aspects of enterprise software
