HPUX Administrator HPUX Environment - HPUX 11i Version 2(11.23) and Version 3(11.31) HP Integrity Platform - XP12000 SAN - XP 10000 SAN EVA-4400 SAN - Data Protector 6.0 with Oracle RMAN Integration Some PA-RISC Boxes Oracle Environment is Oracle 10G with some RAC using ASM raw devices.
Installs, configures, and maintains UNIX(HPUX) operating systems and HP Itanium Servers. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. Detects, diagnoses, and reports UNIX related problems on servers. 4-5 years of experience in the field. This position also maintains the HP Storage Environment which consists of HP storage switches, HP 12000, HP10000, and an EVA 4400. The person works closely with the Oracle DBAs to present HP storage to the Oracle ASM product. This person also maintains the backup of the HPUX and Oracle Environments.
Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software/hardware related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Projects during this time frame - Migrate Oracle RAC Cluster to HPUX 11i Version 3. Use Oracle to migrate data from the XP12000 to the EVA4400.
