Job Summary:
As an Internal Communication Specialist for Product Operations, you are responsible for the planning and implementation of internal communications programs and news/information channels targeting worldwide Product Operations employees. You will work closely with the executive management team and corporate communications as well as various other departments to keep abreast of company and organization developments trends; and develop and administer communication policies and procedures consistent with Client's strategic direction.

Essential Functions:
This Internal Communications Specialist will be focused on communications; however, they may provide broader communication messages as well.

• Write, edit, review and oversee release of Product Operations internal communication documents and programs that support the function.
• Utilize knowledge of latest communications technologies and tools to execute communications strategies including intranet, newsletters, emails/memos, web casts and speeches that effectively reach an engineering-centric organization.
• Review and edit essential internal communications prior to dissemination to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and appropriateness.
• Ensure effective organizational communications strategies and tactics to lead cultural and/or business change and build employee awareness and commitment.
• Coordinate internal communication efforts with cross functional peers who focus on corporate internal communications.
• Work closely with executive/management team and departments to keep abreast of company developments and trends.
• May assist with the development and implementation of new and existing communication vehicles.
• Partner with functional and operation groups with Product Operations to identify communication plans, methods and programs to achieve organizational objectives.
• Develop programs to measure communications effectiveness.
• Manage and participate in long-term projects and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organization skills; attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks; and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Internet, Outlook. May utilize web content development tools.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization,
• Ability to use judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

Responsibility and Interaction:
• Responsibility:
o The tasks this individual is responsible are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.
o This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation.
o Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.

• Interaction:
o This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
o Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently.
o The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
o To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

Education:
• 4 - 6 years of experience preferred.
• A Bachelor of Arts of Sciences Degree required, or equivalent experience with a major in Journalism, English or Communications preferred.
• Experience in a technical field a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
