Job Description:

As a support engineer at Silver Tail, your primary responsibility will be as the face of the Silver Tail product when customers have issues or concerns.  Every interaction that you have with the customer will be defined as friendly, intelligent, and responsive.   You will work with the customer to diagnose issues, provide customer education, reproduce and escalate issues seen in the field, and contribute in other ways to make Silver Tail support world class for the top companies of the world.  You will embrace company values regarding customer priority and integrity in all of your focus areas.

Position Title:  Senior Quality Assurance Engineers   

 

Job Description:  Do you have what it takes to step up?

As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll work with a team of engineers in a scrum/Agile methodology) to test code developed incrementally over a series of sprints. You'll need to be comfortable working with developers as features are designed, and able to ask questions as an quality advocate for the customer. Test design range from detailed functional testing to system-level testing. This requires familiarity with networking diagnostic and traffic generation tools and methodologies. Since network anomaly/fraud detection is a developing field, you must be able to learn quickly, and be open to new ways of doing things. Most of all, you must embrace quality assurance as the proxy voice for the customer.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Create and execute test plans and test cases for assigned component/feature and perform defect tracking and management.

·       Contribute in building automated regression tests from cases.

·       Developing testing tools and resources to aid in testing effort.

·       Help define and lead the effort to implement quality requirements and processes.

·       Work within the Agile scrum software development methodology, as part of a small team to creatively fill needs as they are identified.

·       Candidate will be a supportive team member while independently working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

 

Required Skillset/Experience:

A qualified candidate will have many or all of the following:

·       Solid Linux or Unix user capabilities

·       Familiar with networking multiple servers and have HTTP protocol knowledge

·       Testing enterprise-level, integrated backend server applications OR (distributed systems) OR working in multi-function appliance/server

·       It's an added plus if you have experience in security application testing (familiar with rules-based, signature or traffic analysis based security)

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

Lead the DNA backend team for day-to-day operations. Stay hands-on on all development tasks which involve using various technologies, primarily Java, Perl and C.

Interact with geneticists and other DNA stakeholders to collect domain-specific requirements

Translate requirements into high-performance system by using modern Java technologies, applying SOLID programing principles and working in Agile (Scrum) environment

Develop customizable workflow solutions to automate and manage DNA data analysis pipeline processes

Required Skills:
