OptoElectronix, a start-up in downtown San Jose, is seeking a part time office administrator/ manager. We are a clean tech business designing and building LED light modules for OEM customers and high output area lighting fixtures for end users.
In addition to office administration, the position provides the opportunity to contribute through a wide range of activities. Examples include:
• Facilitating customer orders, deliveries and returns with our Malaysian subsidiary,
• Managing demo and sample inventory,
• Tracking, consolidating and helping to prepare a range of key internal and customer reports
• Coordinating A/P, A/R and U.S. expenses with our Penang-based accountant and U.S. CFO
• Maintaining a data base of customer and sales rep firm information
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office software and have previous experience working in a high tech environment and interfacing directly with customers. Excellent organization and communication skills are key. The ideal candidate would also have experience working globally and would relish the opportunity to make a difference within a small company environment.
The position will require 3 to 4 hours each day based on an established schedule, but the successful candidate will have the flexibility to determine what that schedule should be.
