SJB Child Development Centers is looking for a professional Facilities Manager for our growing number of Child Development Centers. Our mission is to provide educational child care for children birth to twelve years of age to strengthen and support families throughout Santa Clara County. Our programs help parents establish financial independence by creating a safe place for their children to learn while they work. We aim to break the cycle of poverty by offering education-based child care. We offer infant, toddler, preschool and before and after school care to the community.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the following:
 Budget, plan and ensure compliance with Federal, State and OSHA Regulations.
 Direct maintenance, repair, and renovation of all buildings inside and out.
 Develop and implements preventative maintenance procedures. Evaluates energy expenditures. Proposes alternatives that save money and reduce the agency´s impacts upon the natural environment.
 Review janitorial proposals and make recommendations, monitor janitorial service quality and provide reports.
 Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
We require:
 AA Required, BA Preferred
 4 years experience in facilities maintenance including supervisory experience.
 Must possess current California Driver´s License and meet minimum insurance requirements for personal vehicle and have a driving record which meets the standards set forth in Administrative Regulation 4532 and 4533
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
 Ability to attend meetings outside of normal business hours.
 Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
 Current and/or ability to obtain TB Clearance and physical screening.
 Active Fingerprint Clearance with DSS/CCL/FBI/DOJ and/or submittal of Fingerprint Cards with signed Criminal Record Statement prior to employment.
