Product Manager, Networking
We are looking for a Product Manager contractor for a client opportunity at a large, high technology company. This is largely an inbound product management role in the client's Network Security solutions division. This is a 40 hour per week, 2 month role (renewals likely) at the client's offices in San Jose, CA.
The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, and customer support to execute business strategy and product plans. This is an "entry level" product manager role, with a focus on inbound product execution, including working with engineering, setting up product SKUs, managing the beta program, inventory management with the operations team and some support of PRD creation and roadmap planning.
Responsibilities:
• Manage product life cycle of security products, including new SKU creation, license management, and EoS/L planning
• Work with supply chain and finance teams to manage product inventory and forecast reports
• Lead market trials of new product and solution to ensure success of product go-to-market and excellence of user experiences and product quality
• Communicate customer requirements to internal engineering and external engineering (ODM) teams to ensure proper requirement scoping and solution development
• Create Product Requirement Documentations to drive product enhancements for revenue growth
• Collaborate with other product and solution teams to create and manage product solution and collateral
• Monitor and become a product champion in an online product support community
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or above
• 3+ years networking technology experience
• Domain expertise in security is preferred
• 1+ year product management experiences preferred or equivalent business knowledge and experiences; former Technical Marketing Engineer experience ideal
• Good project organization skills
• Great team player with ability to get work done independently
• Enjoy "entrepreneurship" challenges – work under limited resource environment to drive execution and get results
• Flexibility to work with global teams
