JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you have a passion for evangelizing technology? Do you have a gift for describing the benefits of complex enterprise software in layman´s terms? As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for the company´s products. You will craft the messaging and positioning for all the products. You´ll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. In your role as a Senior Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel. The Senior Product Marketing Manager reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Positioning and Messaging
◦Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market.
◦Meet directly with customers, new prospects, standards bodies, industry associations, analysts, partners, and sales staff to gain market insights and evangelize the company´s products.
•Sales Enablement
◦Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team, channel partners, and prospects.
◦Develop the sales tools (e.g., brochures, cheat sheets, beat sheets, application notes, white papers, case studies, product demos, and customer presentations) that support the selling process of the company´s products.
•Product Launch
◦Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
•Market Intelligence
◦Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them.
•Demand Generation
◦Develop the strategy and content of the marketing programs that drive demand for the company´s products.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior Experience

•5+ years experience in product marketing, evangelizing complex, enterprise-class software solutions.
•Working knowledge of technology components such as regulatory controls, information security (e.g., security information and event systems; vulnerability, Web, and application scanners; data loss prevention systems), IT risk management, governance, and compliance.
•Worked in a start-up or high growth environment.

•An in-depth knowledge of the product marketing process.
•Excellent communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, including authorship of solution-related documents and presentations.
•Possess a unique blend of business and technical acumen; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
•Highly organized, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize.
•Must work well in a team, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
•Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third-parties.

•Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed.
•Team player with strong sense of urgency.
•Flexible and willing to do "what it takes" to help the company getting the job done.
•High energy and enthusiasm-eager to engage with customers and evangelize the company´s offering.
•Some travel required (25%).

Education

•Bachelor´s degree required; MBA a plus.
•Pragmatic marketing certification a plus.

LOCATION

The position is based in the Agiliance headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA, conveniently located in walking distance to downtown, Caltrain, and VTA.

COMPENSATION

Your compensation package will be consistent with the stage of the company and the individual´s track record. Compensation will include cash component (base and variable), benefits, and equity.
