The Unicode Consortium has an opening for a part-time Office Manager. The job ranges from ½ to ¾ time depending on work planned. Initially, it will begin at ¾ time.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Managing mail, bookkeeping, expense tracking, invoicing and maintaining membership information, and payroll and benefits for three employees.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Arranging meetings, recording minutes, managing quarterly newsletters, helping with website updates, responding to email inquiries, and supporting multiple off-site consortium officers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Office or project manager/administrator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate or similar setting.
• Ability to run the office operations for a small, non-profit business independently.
• Comfortable in a one-person office, but able to communicate well on the phone, in person, and in writing (including via email).
• Competent using a computer and normal applications (email, web searching, word processor, etc.), a PC work environment.
• Database maintenance using Access.
• Experience in accounting using QuickBooks, including expense and income tracking and creating quarterly reports.
• Learns quickly, able to multi-task, always responsive.
• Should be detail-oriented and well-organized.
