The Role: Medical Assistant

Balanced Hormones & Health Restorative Wellness Center (BH2) is a leading bio-identical hormone replacement clinic for women and men of all ages. At BH2, we focus on improving the health and wellness of our patients using safe and natural methods through integrated, comprehensive and individualized programs. Based in Austin, Texas, we also have clinics in Dallas and San Antonio and will soon be expanding throughout the United States.
Due to our expansive success, we are looking to add a Medical Assistant to our team. The Medical Assistant will have three major areas of responsibility: 1) visit with patients in person or via phone to respond to basic medical questions; 2) place orders for prescriptions; and 3) draw blood for lab panels and test kits, and process and prepare for pickup. Our ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter who is customer/patient focused and can wear many hats.
Your Required Skills & Experience:
•You have a Medical Assistant Degree from an accredited program
•You have one to two years of experience as an LVN, Medical Technician or Medical Assistant
•You have the ability to respond to patients/clients concerning basic medical questions/issues (good understanding of medical terminology)
•You have the ability to draw blood
•You are customer-focused with an excellent bedside manner and strive to make each patient have a positive experience
•You are very detail-oriented (will be calling in 40+ scripts per week)
•You are open-minded and resilient with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
•You are outgoing and proactive
•You lead an active and healthy lifestyle which reflects the mission of our organization
