Job Summary:
Seven is seeking an Technology Asset and Telecommunications Management Specialist to lead and manage the overall Technology Asset and Telecommunications Management Program for all Seven systems hardware, software, telecommunications, and related resources and services. Description
The role reports to the Vice President, Operations and IT. The position is responsible for directing and managing activities related to the Technology Asset Management process for all information systems hardware, software, telecommunications, and related resources. The position requires performance of financial analysis for asset acquisition cost-effectiveness, developing inventory control processes, developing lease/buy models for hardware/software, reviewing licensing agreements with outside vendors, and planning for major hardware/software upgrades and changes.
This role will also be responsible for reviewing and validating monthly telecommunications invoices and ensuring that Seven is taking best benefit of available corporate plans across a global array of Telecommunications carriers.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and track all technology assets
Review and manage technology resource expenditure and volume purchase agreements
Review and audit all telecommunications invoices
Maintain hardware, software, and services contracts as appropriate.
Manage activities together with procurement, finance, legal, business units, and technology architects in analyzing proposals and vendor contracts to acquire hardware/software and services resources
Maintain current knowledge of hardware/software changes and plan for changes in response to dynamic business needs.
Play a leadership role in efforts to improve departmental processes

The tasks within this role are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches.
This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation.
Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.
Interaction:
This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.
Skills & Experience Required:
Five years of IT experience with at least two years in asset procurement, configuration management or project management.
Three or more years' experience tracking software licenses
Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management
Solid project management skills of small and large projects in cross-functional environment
Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards for modeling and tracking software expenditures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of hardware and software business issues, including contracts, licensing mechanisms, and supplier sales and marketing tactics
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills
Knowledge of tools, processes, and operations planning.
Experience working with technology development staff on complex projects.
Ability to work collaboratively and take a lead role when needed
Ability to evaluate, define and prioritize projects
Ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules for individual or work for a small team
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with Intuit – QuickBase is a plus
Certified ITIL V2 or V3 Service Management is a plus
Strong background and knowledge of process improvement techniques is a plus
