Huawei R&D Competence Center is responsible for corporate level common product design and development competence improvement and R&D product development efficiency improvement as internal competence center and also consulting service provider, it functions currently include architecture and system design, key DFX, Customer Documentation, User Experience, Testing and R&D Tools, Engineering Standardization, R&D system engineering, process and methodologies, and Translation center.

This position will play a key technical leadership role in R&D competence center branch USA, to be involved in next generation product and platform system architecture and also key RAS (Reliability, Availability and Serviceability) architecture and system design, prototype and implementation guidance.

Responsibilities

Lead the creating of Huawei corporate level long-term architectural plans for IT domain infrastructure system, such as computing, storage and etc
Lead the specific system architecture design and POC
Lead the key architecture design for non-functional requirement (RAS- Reliability, Availability and Serviceability)
Support the technical strategic planning and related technical management based on advance technologies research, industry benchmark and customer analysis
Drive the prototype implementation, collaborate with test team on prototype verification and also deploy solution in products.
Play an project manager role in the specific project
Consolidate the IT domain system architecture and RAS design best practice, experience, lessons to formal design methodology and do knowledge transfer

Qualification

Over 15 years software system architecture design experience in IT industry
Large system or sub-system level software architecture design experience
Hands on experience on RAS- Reliability, Availability and Serviceability
Strong programming skill using C/C++.
Knowledge and experience on Linux, UNIX, or Open Solaris is strongly desirable.
Solid understanding and experience of cloud computing, virtualization, distributed system design is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well work skills within a multi-cultural team.
