ROLE: WEBSPHERE ADMINISTRATOR LOCATION: DENVER, CO DURATION: 1+ YEAR PROJECT DESCRIPTION: · Benefit management system maintenance and operations REQUIRED SKILL: · WebSphere Administrator, Webserver IHS/Apache, Clustering, VM Ware, Unix, Linux, Shell Scripting, PREFERRED SKILLS: · ESB MuleSoft, SOLR, Perforce, CVS, Harvest, Dollar Universe, AutoSys, Tuxedo, Ant Scripting, JACL/Jython Scripting RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTED DELIVERABLES: · The WebSphere Administrator will administer enterprise WebSphere infrastructure. · Will also configure, engineer, and maintain WebSphere application servers, WebSphere standalone and horizontal/vertical clusters, and web servers. · Must understand how load balancers work and be able to configure them with web servers. · Should be able to debug and fix WebSphere related issues · Should be able to understand the application flow and how middle ware plays part in the entire flow of application. · Should be able to write basic scripts as well monitoring scripts (shell/JACL/Jython). · Installation, configuration and maintenance of the WebSphere suite. · Continually monitor and tune application infrastructure to assure optimal performance, availability and utilization of resources · Must have strong knowledge about DMZ and should be able to configure webservers in DMZ. · Must be able to debug issues related to Webservers (IHS/Apache). · Participate as a key part of a team to accomplish various assignments requested. · The individual should possess strong attention to detail where the highest quality of performance is a constant focus. · A strong ability to work as a contributing team member is a must. · Respond to monitoring alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution to avoid or reduce duration of an outage. · Provide support and trouble-shooting to resolve issues impacting application operations. · Provide technical solutions to automate processes or functions to improve business operations. · Knowledge of ESB is a plus. · Knowledge of Tuxedo is a plus. · Working knowledge of ANT scripting is a plus. · Develop and continually refine restore or recovery procedures for errors impacting application operations. Administer and enforce IT standards and processes. · Strong knowledge of Unix and scripting. · Ability to support the env’s on a 24/7 basis. · Willingness to learn new technologies would be a plus. · Strong analytical skills, Strong Trouble Shooting skills, organized and detail-oriented; self-directed excellent teamwork ability. · High standards of quality and integrity.
