Communications Manager/Fund Development and Public Relations
2+ month contract
Hayward, CA
Our client is a successful non-profit searching for a short-term contractor to fill in for a 2+ month leave of absence in their Hayward, CA office to begin immediately.
The Communications Manager works closely with the Vice President and President to plan, organize, and direct the company's overall fund development and corporate marketing strategy to further the work of the non-profit. The person in this position will work directly with the senior staff to identify and plan fundraising, outreach and marketing efforts that support the work of the non-profit.
Additionally, this position has public relations responsibility working in conjunction with Executive Team and administrative staff and consultants as appropriate, to develop marketing and collateral materials to promote non-profit's work, including developing corporate brochures, external newsletters, and other collateral materials, as well as public relations opportunities for placement in print or other media.
Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field; advanced degree a plus. Candidate should have minimum of five years of progressively responsible and successful fund development experience with demonstrated strengths in managing fund development planning, grant writing and research.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but may require the supervision of consultants.
This position pays $38 per hour on a W2 basis and needs to start immediately.
