The Symmetricom HR team seeks a Human Resources Business Partner who will be chartered:
• To work as a champion of Symmetricom culture and values, while delivering HR business initiatives to client groups and aligning deliverables with Symmetricom business objectives.
• To coach and support our business leaders in the building of their organizations while ensuring their teams are recognized and rewarded for high performance and innovation.
• To work as an advisor to leadership on organizational and HR-related issues, including but not limited to; performance management, salary reviews, employee relations, organization design and effectiveness, change management , talent acquisition and employee engagement to promote and maintain a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities for this instrumental role include:
• Contributing to the design and alignment of the HR strategy with the business strategy in support of near and long-term business goals
• Coaching business leaders to build and reward strong, high performing teams
• Providing guidance and input on business unit structures, workforce planning, and succession planning
• Educating clients on compensation tools, practices, performance review process, organizational design and various management requirements
• Investigating and resolving complex employee relations issues
• Facilitating and participating in the hiring process from inception through on boarding
• Providing integration support for M&A activities
Competencies and experience required for this role:
• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
• Masters degree or SPHR preferred
• A minimum of 5 years demonstrated progressive responsibility in HR; a minimum of 3 years in an HR Business Partner role
- Subject matter expertise in employment/labor laws and regulations
- Coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation and conflict resolution skills
• Understands business goals and recommends best practices to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills with a well-developed business acumen; possesses the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the organization to ensure a high level of employee engagement
• Bias for action, strong work ethic and desire to achieve results and excellence; ability and desire to operate at both tactical and strategic business levels
• Strong internal and external customer service focus coupled with the ability to establish solid relationships with all levels of an organization.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience staffing and supporting global and remote locations
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and HRM solutions
• Ability to travel approximately 25%
