JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The social media coordinator is responsible for day-to-day engagement across all our social channels. In addition, the coordinator will contribute to the social media strategy and is expected to stay abreast of new developments and opportunities in social media channels. Primary responsibilities include: expanding the One World Futbol Project community, increasing engagement with the community and helping to improve conversion rates of friends/followers to purchasers/donors. This is a hands-on, junior-level position with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities for developing the social media strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
* Tactical execution of social media strategies
* Posting relevant and engaging content across our social media channels
* Collaborating with other marketing team members to ensure that social media efforts integrate with other marketing communications functions and that social media outreach effectively uses our digital media assets
* Social media monitoring - tracking relevant topic trends and opportunities for comment, en-gagement and sharing
* Responding to queries from and engaging in conversations with members of our community on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and other channels as we develop them
* Maintaining and executing on our social engagement calendar and coordinating efforts with our sponsors and key partners
* Tracking and reporting key social media metrics on a regular basis

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The social media coordinator will have:
* Knowledge of existing and emerging social media channels, including Facebook, Youtube, Twit-ter, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine, etc.
* Minimum of two years of intensive, demonstrated experience in the practice of social media - building and engaging with online communities, responding to queries, engaging in conversa-tions as appropriate, tracking and taking advantage of topic trends
* Experience effectively utilizing a library of digital assets (e.g. photographs and videos)
* Familiarity and experience with social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar (One World Futbol Project currently uses Sprout Social.)
* Experience developing and maintaining a social media engagement calendar
* Interest in or experience with cause marketing or marketing for non-profits or benefit corporations
* Knowledge of and experience using file sharing and collaboration services (such as Dropbox, Google docs, Basecamp). Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Apps productivity suite (including word processing and spreadsheet applications).

Preferred but not required:
* Familiarity with communities of interest around soccer and/or sport for peace and development
* Fluency or proficiency in additional languages beyond English
