The Role: Regulatory Compliance Coordinator
The Location: Austin, TX
Capson is a new and exciting medical malpractice insurance company that offers insurance through a direct, online model. We are currently searching for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Coordinator.
The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator interacts closely with Capson legal counsel to identify, track and respond to regulatory matters. They prepare and file nationwide insurance rules, rates and forms. They prepare and submit licensing documents and maintain corporate insurance licenses. The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator ensures accuracy of all materials and guarantees compliance with state requirements. They monitor all incoming correspondence and determine appropriate dissemination and/or action. They maintain all record keeping, identify and research inform ation regarding regulatory inquiries and issues and ensure licensure is legal and up-to-date.
Required Skills & Experience:
œ Bachelorfs degree and three or more years of related experience in insurance, government affairs or regulatory work
œ Experience utilizing the NAIC SERFF system for submitting state rate and form filings
œ Knowledge and experience with SIRCON and/or NIPR for appointing agents
œ Solid understanding of corporate legal structure and legal concepts and terminology
œ Excellent computer skills, including utilization of Mac and MS Office products (Excel and Word) and database applications
œ Very strong attention to detail, including strong recordkeeping and file/data management skills
œ Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate detailed or sensitive information to internal or external contacts
œ Voracious and creative research skills including company record review, legal and internet research, and due diligence gathering
œ Strong attention to detail with ability to review state or federal statutes and regulations to identify basic compliance requirements
œ Ability to negotiate standard agreements with vendors and maintain vendor relationships
œ Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple job tasks
