CIBER is searching for a Java/J2EE Consultant, to investigate application issues, determine technical solutions, and make enhancements to existing applications, troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems and collaborate with architects to ensure that the products and components work together, meet defined standards, and meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements. Candidate must be strong in the area of J2EE technologies, and have excellent communication skills. Application development experience in the following areas is critical to be successful in this role:
• Manufacturing functional domain
• Application integration
• Web and application security
• Performance
• Quality
• Operational aspects
• College Degree
• Excellent communication ability to be able to communicate effectively with clients, with team members and with management as needed
• Ability to independently research and solve technical issues and meet targeted deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow and support standards for design, development, implementation and documentation
• Knowledge in J2EE and good understanding of the J2EE design patterns
• Sound experience with most of: JSP, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, Servlets, JDBC, JMS, JAXB, JDOM, AJAX, XML with IBM MQ Series and Web Services technology
• Self starter in developing new technical skills; able to demonstrate strong technical growth
• Proficient in the use of software development tools (IBM Rational Application Developer, Clear Case, Clear Quest) and techniques in software projects
Desired:
• Exposure to the SOA methodologies
• Exposure to web security features
• Exposure to WebSphere portal or java portlets
