| In this position, the individual will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, and debugging operating system and/or BIOS drivers and software to interface with high performance SSDs. The individual will be a key contributor to the development of next generation enterprise SSDs, taking a lead role in helping coordinate and drive technical development across organizational boundaries. Strong knowledge of operating system kernel internals and experience designing and implementing production level storage drivers is highly desired. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies kernel drivers, BIOS code and software for SSDs. Work involves digital hardware and software operating systems, and requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design and experience with software and/or hardware debuggers. Typically programs in high level languages, for example C and C++, and sometimes assembly language. This position requires BS degree or equivalent in CS or EE with 9 or more years of related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to work effectively cross-functionally. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
