Software Process Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
Position Summary

Samsung Information Systems America is currently recruiting talented individuals who will be responsible for SW process deployment in our Irvine, California office. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting engineers by providing system training and support as well as coordinating audit activities. The incumbent should be dedicated to quality and be able to thrive in a fast-pace, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
· Deploys corporate SW development process and process improvement initiatives.
· Performs SW process control activities based on process regulation.
· Tailors SW process at an organizational level.
· Audits projects with respect to process-compliance.
· Conducts training to guide developers with respect to the SW process.
· Improves process maturity by identifying process improvement needs.
· Tracks quantitative goals periodically and initiates corrective actions.
· Manages multiple projects and identifies issues that arise during project execution.
· Supports various S/W development tools such as IDE, debugger, source control, & bug tracking.
· Performs structural analysis and recognizes improvement points (refactoring, etc.).
Essential Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
· UML modeling and understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
· SW development process and CMMI expertise.
· Experience with C++, Java, JavaScript, and object-oriented languages; Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
· 2 - 3 years experience working in the SW development, S/W quality engineering and process improvement field.
· Must be a self-starter and motivated with strong analytical skills to handle a variety of activities and complexities spanning across the organization.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace global business environment.
· Must have excellent collaboration skills.
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
