Please direct your responses to: http://tinyurl.com/Crawfords-602

Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Acquisition Integration Communications Lead to develop the strategy and execution supporting acquisition integration work streams in our client's Integration Management Office. The successful candidate is a confident and prolific writer, who has been successful at rallying teams with a vision. You must be someone who assumes a vested interest in the communications models you create. This role is not about doing only what is asked of you. Your challenge will be to engage five different target audiences within a multi-national technology company. Your communications content and innovative ideas for delivery of that content must be equally effective at the executive level, as well as the everyday employee level.

Are you comfortable with chaos? Are you capable of doing the internal research necessary to build out your internal story when only 60% of the information is provided to you? Are you approachable and a good listener when executives need to provide input that may require additional refinements at the eleventh hour? The Acquisition Integration Communications Lead will be enthusiastic about this opportunity because it provides you the canvas for creating new models for internal communications that establish a new benchmark for acquisitions done well. Large acquisitions take years to complete. What needs to be said to executives to keep them aligned during this period? What needs to be said to employees to keep them informed about the direction of the company? What needs to be said to the "acquisition integration team" when they are burned out and tired of the chaos? The right consultant will embrace these challenges with professionalism and excitement.

Work Style Requirements:

Must work in the office a minimum of 4/days week. This team is located 100% in San Jose, CA. Catching the hallway chatter and opportunity for building Executive relationships will be critical to your success.

Need to be accessible when critical issues arise. Standard office hours are 9am-5pm PT, and there are no International meetings at odd hours. However, you must be available via mobile phone and email on an ongoing basis.

Must work fast, under stress, and under chaos. The team moves fast and you must be able to move with them.

Need to be a quick learner of technologies, and the high tech industry. Within the first two months you must be able to sit in a meeting and be able to decipher the critical points and non-critical points. Context is everything.

Communications should be FUN. You need to be engaging in your communications style.

The team needs out-of-box thinking and innovation. While experience with social media or video on demand is not required, experience with these mediums will contribute to your ability to brainstorm new ways to engage your audiences. The team is looking beyond the weekly newsletter update.

Heavy writing and solid Microsoft PowerPoint skills are required

Skills:

10-15 years' internal or corporate communications experience in the technology sector for at least one F500 company required

Excellent writing, editing, copywriting and proofreading skills. Must be able to effectively influence senior leaders and leadership teams

Ability to develop and evolve short- and long-term communication strategies while consistently driving tactical projects

Strong project management, negotiation and decision-making skills

Demonstrated ability to define and assess communication strategies and build actionable communication plans, creating and synthesizing messaging/developing content for subject matter

Demonstrated success working collaboratively, cross functionally and virtually with executives, partners and communication peers to complete major initiatives and projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively influence senior leaders and leadership teams

Understanding of Web 2.0 communication tools and ability to drive their innovative use (video, blogs, web content management)

Experience working on virtual teams and with cross-functional organizations

Solid proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint

Ability to balance quality of work with deadlines, in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture

Bachelors' degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar
