Data Center Windows Engineer (Local Candidates only)

Client is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the data center team as a Windows Systems Engineer. In this exciting and challenging role you will be part of the team that supports our Windows Server environment.
The Windows Systems Engineer works as part of data center team providing 24x7 operational support for Microsoft Windows based servers including maintaining the integrity of an operating system environment. Must handle all routine aspects of system administration; including hardware/ software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Coordinates disk space planning and management. Monitors and manages system resources; including CPU usage, disk usage, and storage backup systems. Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, software libraries, and software and hardware inventories. Performs data backups and recoveries. Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control. Maintains system documentation. Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems.
Requirements for Windows Systems Engineer:
- Windows Server 2000/2003/2008/2012
- HyperV and VMware ESXi
- Microsoft Clustering
- Backup Exec and Veeam
- Scripting including VBScript and Powershell
- Server and Storage Hardware
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Participate in 24x7 on call rotation and some off-hours work
