[JIMSJOBS] Director of Public Relations, New Jersey

 

This position reports to the Senior Director, and will lead and develop the overall media capability at the company for patients, health care providers and payers. As a member of the Marketing Center of Excellence (COE), s/he will lead a team to design and deliver media plans for the US.  S/he will partner with the Marketing Strategists, other members of the COE and brand managers to engage customers and deliver relevant experiences through media that drive business results. The candidate will manage the relationships with media agencies and ensure appropriate allocation of both internal and external resources across the enterprise. S/he will develop and nurture relationships with key media partners/publishers to identify innovative opportunities, as well as leverage investments to drive efficiencies across the company.  S/he will be a subject matter expert in media planning and buying across all media channels (TV, print, search, digital, etc.) and be the leader in establishing a world class standard for media at the company Role Responsibilities:  -       Expand and enhance media capability at the company to accelerate business growth-       Lead and manage relationships, and overall talent utilization with media agencies-       Identify innovative media opportunities to pilot-       Establish relationships with media vendors/publishers to leverage spend across the enterprise and get first exposure to new offerings-       Ensure media planning and buying process is adopted and implemented across the enterprise-       Develop a standard for media reporting/analytics to provide insights, implications and recommendations to optimize media campaigns Identify and share media best practices and benchmarks across PCU’s; highlighting opportunities to test, learn and optimize/evolve based on knowledge and understanding of patient insights, competitive media initiatives, new channels and/or offerings by channel Be the subject matter expert and thought leader in all media; providing expertise in media channels and technologies across all phases of media planning and buying Drive efficiency and effectiveness in all media planning and buying activities This role is key to driving world class media strategies for patients and healthcare professionals that drive the business The candidate must have a deep understanding of media principles and must be knowledgeable in both traditional and digital media The candidate should have a familiarity with marketing in regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical industry The candidate needs to understand the evolving media landscape and be able to interpret and apply that back to specific brand strategies to yield the greatest possible impact on business performance The ideal candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.  S/he must have proven success at advancing initiatives across organizational and geographic boundaries   Qualifications  -       Bachelor’s Degree required-       10+ years of experience in media planning-       Experience working at or with media agencies-       Proven ability to develop and manage paid media plans that meet and/or exceed business objectives-       Thorough knowledge and experience with traditional media including TV, digital ad placement, and search marketing-       Thorough knowledge with use of offline and digital media as an awareness driver and/or direct response driver-       Innovative thinker, collaborative team player and strong communicator-       Participation/Membership in media  Local candidates only New Jersey no relocation.
