The Public Relations Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall PR strategy and communications programs worldwide, including media relations, government relations and community relations. The candidate must possess extensive public relations experience with a proven track record of success in garnering substantial media impressions as well as delivering top-tier media and publicity results. This person should also have their finger on the pulse of digital advertising, technology and enterprise business solutions and have a vast network of relevant media contacts and relationships. Responsibilities• Develop global communications strategy and programs.• Manage all media relations, public relations, publicity and corporate communication endeavors.• Manage the day-to-day relationship and activities with our external PR firm, including press. releases, byline articles, media and analyst relationships, executive speaker bureau, award programs, event calendar, media training and crisis management.• Work closely with executive management on PR priorities and programs.• Manage Crisis Communications.• Ensure our public image is on strategy and consistent. Required Skills• BA or BS required with concentration in Communications or Public Relations.• 15+ years of corporate PR and media relations experience for a global brand.• Strong relationships with advertising, business and financial press.• Proven track record in securing press results and feature story coverage.• Exceptional written, communication and presentation skills required.• Experience working closely with senior level executives.• PR firm management experience required.• Employee management experience required.• Knowledge of the social media ecosystem.• Ability to develop strong networks and build credibility within the organization.• Ability to perform well in a team environment and manage multiple deadline-driven projects.• Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask.• Excellent editing, proofreading and project management experience with attention to detail.• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs.• Ability to process a vast amount of information and understand and prioritize competing business needs.• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors at all levels to meet business goals.• Willingness to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile.• Strong personal work ethic.• Flexible personality and quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.• Digitally savvy.
