The Director of Customer Marketing is responsible for driving customer engagement and advocacy in support of new business acquisition as well as customer retention and growth.

The Director of Customer Marketing works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations to design and implement a post-sales experience that delights our customers and drives long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships. Key responsibilities:
- Management of the Saba customer advocate program, including sourcing new advocates, creating mutually beneficial customer relationships, and fulfilling reference requests across Sales and Marketing
- Development and execution of customer engagement programs, ongoing customer communication, and targeted install base campaigns that result in higher customer retention and cross-selling and upselling
- Creation of executive marketing programs to foster closer relationships with senior level executives within our customer base
- Management of the customer experience at key Saba events, including our annual @Work Summit, regional user group meetings, and industry conferences
- Close collaboration with corporate communications to make our customers, and the HR and Learning leaders who work there, heroes through PR, speaking opportunities, and awards
- Creation and refinement of customer marketing processes and deliverables, including customer case studies, customer videos, customer testimonials, infographics, eBooks, and white papers, to ensure programs can scale and to maximize the effectiveness and quality of assets created
- Management of customer advisory boards and other customer advocate meetings
- Management, development, and scaling of Customer Marketing team. Qualifications: Required Skills/Experience: Saba is a high-energy, team-oriented, performance-driven, and non-hierarchical company. We're looking for someone who is highly accountable for his/her own performance and results and is always striving for excellence. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-starter, a strategic thinker, a great manager, and exceptional team player who takes pride in the impact his/her team has on the company.

Required experience and skills include:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years of experience in customer marketing at a technology company
- Solid management experience, including project management, team management, and people management, with demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a matrix environment.
- A true team player. We are not looking for an individual contributor or someone who is concerned about turf and ownership. Saba is a highly team-oriented company with a fast-moving culture that requires people to work effectively and collaboratively together to drive company-wide goals and results.
- Strategic thinker, with vision, conviction, and focus on execution
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder communications and engagement
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with senior executive customers
- Solid understanding of the various functions within Marketing and Sales and how Customer Marketing supports business objectives
- Strong abilities in program development and management. The successful candidate can creatively address customer marketing programmatic needs and can show measurable results
- BS or BA in Marketing, Communications, or Business. MBA a plus.
