The Executive Communications Manager works directly for the Senior Vice President/General Manager to develop and manage the internal and external communications program in support of McAfee and the business unit's objectives. This includes delivering the following:
��� Contribute to developing an internal and external leadership "point of view" for communication to targeted internal and external audiences in alignment with McAfee and the business unit' strategy and message.
��� Partner with functional and extended teams (public relations, analyst relations, product marketing) and others to ensure message alignment in support of the overall strategy.
��� Messaging and content development for SVP/GM speaking platforms
��� Working with various events and marketing teams to determine right level of executive support from SVP/GM
��� Development of briefing materials and research as needed

Tactics may include, but are not limited to:
��� Regular cadence of meetings with Business Unit's Marketing Team
��� Management of Social Media Executive Biography
��� Development of briefing materials
��� Platform topics research
��� SVP/GM Organizational communications support with All Hands Meetings and organizational updates

Essential Role Competencies and Responsibilities:
��� Understand industry, organization, and functional stakeholder perceptions and communication needs
��� Participates in developing high quality content. Demonstrates expert understanding of complex technologies, products, and market challenges.
��� Helps develop executive platforms (points of view) in alignment with McAfee messaging ��� Develops and maintains a repository of executive platforms, core presentations, profiles/biographies and best practices for leverage across the SVP/GM leadership team and communications community
��� Determines need for materials, presentations, web updates, special writing assignments, and special project and event assignments as it relates to industry, organizational or functional communications.
��� Screen, research, manage, and tailor executive platform content as needed for speaking engagements. ��� Measure communication effectiveness, end result. Consults and advises on effectiveness of programs and use of metrics to inform and create future projects and communications needs
��� Build strong relationships and use collaboration for desired results.
��� Project management of cross-functional projects and initiatives. Demonstrates expert understanding in managing a project from conception to completion.
��� High level of judgment and discretion around confidential information.

��� Ability to connect seemingly disparate messages and content
��� Story-telling ability
��� Slide creation skills (PowerPoint efficiency)
��� Equally conversant in technology and business conversations
��� Strong research skills
��� Excellent writing skills

Success Factors:
��� Dynamic; can handle multiple priorities and give the impression that each is the top priority ��� Personable; needs to work across Engineering, Sales and the communications community and SMEs
��� Capacity to learn quickly and apply that knowledge

Required Education/Experience:
��� BS/BA with 5+ years experience in communications and/or marketing
��� Previous experience in development of marketing or sales collateral
��� Development and ownership of communications plan.
��� Strong Program Management skills
��� Some travel required.
