POSITION: FINANCIAL ANALYST
DURATION: 6 MONTHS +
LOCATION: SAN JOSE, CA
CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION High visibility opportunity for a team oriented Financial Analyst responsible for driving key financial process changes to day-to-day financial analysis, reporting and other financial processes, conducting work with a Worldwide (WW) network of distribution partners.
The position is responsible for assessing and documenting current processes like forecasting, reporting, inventory roll and claiming; analyzing impacts to these processes due to a major change in the operating model, designing new and improved financial processes to support the business; and enhancing operational efficiencies and finding opportunities to better equip management in driving sales programs. This position requires strong drive, cross functional collaboration, communication and the ability to see the big picture but still be able to have a thorough understanding of the details.
Candidate must be passionate about driving financial process improvements and should be able to make sound data driven decisions. The person should be process oriented; able to step in and learn the processes as well as redesign them where opportunities for improvement exist. A strong sense of purpose and ability to drive change is an absolute must. The position requires the ability to understand external distributor needs and how they affect processes and deliverables.
The position will be accountable for achieving results that may affect deadlines and distributor operations. Discusses and presents factual information to other members of the same organization; will be viewed as a technical resource by peers in the same organization; partners with client groups, taking on whatever role is necessary to achieve business objectives.
EXPERIENCE: Financial and Operational Reporting and Analytics
� Creating process documents using flow charts
� Experience in Planning and executing within a very large cross functional team � Creating and executing Change management and training plans for finance teams across the world
EDUCATION
� BS degree and 6 years of related experience; Strong Technical Skills Required: � Reporting Tools
� Business Objects 6.5
� Spreadsheet Tools
� MS Excel skills (expert)
� Database Tools
� MS Access / SQL Server (helpful) Organizational "Fit"
Considerations:
� Strong Communication Skills
� Self-motivated; positive attitude; team oriented.
� Ability to work under pressure
