Contribute to the PR program to present a positive company image to the media, influencers, customers, partners, and shareholders.
JOB CONTENT:
- Proactively drive media coverage including editorial opportunities, speaking opportunities, and awards to increase awareness of the company, its products and executive leadership.
- Plan, write and coordinate drafting of press releases.
- Schedule briefing/update meetings with media and industry analysts.
- Coordinate customer references for public relations and marketing activities.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of PR-related online activities such as social media.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid experience in media/analyst outreach.
- Proven relationships with technology and business media required.
- Solid understanding/experience of public relations/media relations.
- Create and maintain press/analyst database for horizontal and vertical industries.
- Monitor ongoing media coverage and produce clipping reports.
- Compile press materials as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact cross-functionally with multiple internal and external groups.
- Comfortable and flexible to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and diverse environment where responsibilities and requirements rapidly change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- BA/BS degree in marketing, public relations or related studies
- 3-5 years professional PR experience in technology arena, ideally in computer storage and/or virtualization, cloud computing
- PR agency experience a huge plus
- Exceptional writing (AP style), editing and oral communications skills
