Human Resources Mgr/Bus Partner/Generalist position for CMD (construction) Group in Norcross, GA/northeast Atlanta
CMD Group is looking for a strategic HR Manager / Business Partner to join our HR team. The primary responsibility of this role is to partner with the business, in conjunction with the Corporate HR team, to maximize the value of our human capital in alignment with company initiatives, values and strategies as well as the needs of all stakeholders.
Located in Norcross, GA, the HR Manager will support our 300+ data and market intelligence business employees with the objective of guiding and managing the overall provision of HR services, policies and programs for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Coaches, guides and counsels managers in the areas of performance management, compensation, employee relations and talent acquisition.
•Ensures positions are filled with the best qualified, internal and external candidates in an efficient manner and the talent pipeline is active. This includes all aspects of the acquisition process including; job analysis, position descriptions, candidate selection process, job postings, compensation analysis and offer.
•Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Advises managers of needed actions and partners with legal as needed/required.
•Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
•Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession/leadership planning.
•Manage the recruitment process and life-cycle, including screening candidates, interview scheduling, candidate evaluations, and conducts pre-offer/employment screening.
•Use social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source diverse candidate slates for open jobs.
•Manages the candidate database and reporting system.
•Oversees, handles and manages day to day team member relations including onboarding of new hires.
•Administers Human Resources policies and procedures; answer manager and team member inquiries about employment procedures and policies, benefits and other HR-related topics.
•Oversees implementation of the performance management process
•Prepares reports by surveying, collecting & analyzing metrics and summarizing data and trends to develop solutions, department goals and objectives.
•Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Essential Skills & Abilities:
•General HR Skills - knowledge of best practices in team member relations/performance management, employment policies and guidelines, and recruiting and staffing best practices
•Strong understanding of Federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to HR administration and various compensation and benefit plans and practices
•Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy
•Ability to develop clear, actionable project plans and steps in support of HR and business strategy
•Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
•Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people at all levels of the organization
•Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of CareerBuilder.com, Monster.com, Dice.com, and other resume databases
•Working knowledge in ADP HRMS, BirdDogHR solutions and MS Visio preferred

Training and Educational Requirements:
•BA/BS in Human Resources or related field.
•Seven years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist/Manager position, including at least two years recent recruiting experience.
•PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification desirable.
