Position Summary:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join a strong, collaborative team in a role focusing on analysis with leadership and advancement opportunities.   

The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for requirements, systems analysis, testing, and project management for the digital applications that support the external presence and marketing capabilities. The digital applications are critical for meeting our client experience goals and strategies. 

Currently, efforts are underway to increase our digital footprint and marketing automation. This is a great opportunity to join our team and design lasting solutions for our clients. This position requires a high level of direct interaction with the business users, and excellent communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·          Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements related to enhancements for Client Facing technology. Delivering world-class digital solutions aligned with Wellington goals and strategies

·          Act as subject-matter expert with Marketing, Global Relationship Group, and other internal teams throughout implementation of tool into Wellington’s environment; also act as key liaison with marketing/sales enablement tool vendor throughout analysis, integration and implementation

·          Create business requirement documents including but not limited to detailed work flow diagrams, use cases, business process flows and data flow diagrams

·          Work to understand internal client's business needs above and beyond the immediate requirements and convert them into functional specifications. 

·          Liaison between business units, development team, Enterprise Architecture, and Information Security to ensure proper implementation of requirements within the expected timeframe.  Communicate any material modifications of the business requirements to impacted teams

·          Assist QA team in writing high level test plans for system changes.  Review results of manual functional and automated tests with IT Quality Assurance (QA) Team

·          Document data modeling requirements for enterprise integration. 

Required Skills and Competencies:

·          7+ yrs. Systems analysis experience in web/digital application technology, ideally working for an investment management firm

·          Bachelor's degree in an IT or a Financial discipline required

·          Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to negotiate and influence critical decisions

·          Ability to write clear and concise business requirements for enterprise wide initiatives

·          Ability to present technical concepts in business terms when eliciting, validating and prioritizing requirements

·          Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under tight deadlines

·          Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to make independent decisions

·          A firm understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

·          Proven ability to develop creative solutions to meet business needs

·          Ability to provide input on strategic planning

·          Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

·          Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels

·          Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work well in a challenging, fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative team environment

 

The preferred candidate will possess experience with the following:

 

·          BSA experience as a member of a larger team that was responsible for the design, development, implementation and testing of corporate web site properties, for both the desktop and mobile platforms

·          Familiarity with user experience best practices that include but are not limited to prototyping, research methods, usability testing, human factors design, and localization/ globalization

·          Experience with Drupal content management systems

·          Experience with integrating sales enablement tool with corporate compliance, data warehouse, CRM and CMS systems (Salesforce)

·          Experience with web analytics, security, and performance

·          Experience in writing sql commands and comfort in navigating relational databases

·          Strong experience writing technical and functional specifications (expertise in the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) a plus)

·          Experience playing a lead BSA role working with Agile project methodology on large-scale initiatives

 

Keys to this Position:

 

1)    7+ years of Systems analysis experience in the web/digital application technology, ideally working for an investment management firm

2)    Must have experience working with a Content Management system (Drupal is preferred but others will suffice) and experience with campaign management tools and or other marketing automation tools (Marketing Cloud – formerly ExactTarget is what we are looking for this resource to help implement)

3)    This person will be responsible for managing our public web site so this type of experience is important to the person’s success in the role.

4)    Ability to work with Marketing to assist with analytics and marketing automation

5)    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to negotiate and influence critical decisions

6)    Ability to write clear and concise business requirements for enterprise wide initiatives
