As a member of YuMe's Corporate Accounting team, this position is responsible for monthly and quarterly financial statement close process related to revenue accounting, which will include commercial contract negotiation and review, estimating and recording accounting entries, preparing account reconciliations and performing account analytics. This position will also be assisting with technical accounting for revenue recognition.
Responsibilities:
Own monthly and quarterly financial statement close process tasks related to revenue accounting, including estimating and recording various accruals, account reconciliations and account analytics
Provide financial support to enable the successful negotiation of revenue contracts
Ensure that transactions are accurately and timely reflected in the financial statements
Execute analyses of financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Define Requirements and execute End User Testing for Revenue Accounting Systems Integration/Implementation
SOX accounting lead for internal control effectiveness
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly and annual operational results and financial information, and other governmental reporting requirements
Update, maintain and publish internal and external financial reports, including footnotes
Qualifications:
Degree in accounting or finance
CPA or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting related functions
Solid accounting background
Accounting experience in a multi-country/currency or publicly-traded company a plus
Strong financial systems background (Oracle R12 a plus)
Ability to analyze large quantities of data (Excel, Access, SQL)
Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department personnel
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ideal experience includes both corporate and Big4 revenue accounting
